Up, Up and Away

We went to the Science Center this weekend. They were having a neat Titanic exhibit and thought it would be fun. We waited in line for 1.5 hours. Every time we thought we were getting closer we would enter another line! It was ridiculous. But, it was a neat exhibit and the science center was pretty cool.

"Dude, I didn't hit your car!"

As Nate was leaving for work on Monday he noticed that his car had been hit. No note or anything so he went to work and was going to worry about it later. Then he saw the trash truck and decided to stop and see if he did it. As soon as Nate got out of the car the trashman said, "Dude, I didn't hit your car!" Nate wasn't so sure at this point so he asked if he could look around the truck and noticed some red paint (same as nate's car) on his back tire and everything else added up. Needless to say, he did hit Nate's car. Then the trash company said they would just give us a check for $500. But I don't know if you can tell by the picture but it is dented, scratched and even cut. I doubt that will cover it. I am waiting to see if the insurance company calls me. How crazy!! What if Nate hadn't stopped!!!

This is why I hate snow

We wake up to find beautiful white snow covering the trees and the ground. It looks like a scene from a movie. But then reality hits and the dogs need to go pee. As the day progresses and the snow melts. The beauty becomes mush. It isn't pretty anymore and quite frankly pretty nasty. But the dogs still need to go pee. So I let them out but then Claire needs to pee so I go change her diaper and come back and this is what I find. Then they get baths and it all starts over...

My new babysitter

Claire looked lonely and wanted a friend...So Lacey to the rescue. She was really quite content. If you look real close you can see Claire's transformation from Claire-Bear to Claire-Dog. Check out that toungue!

The Cakes

Okay...I am done I promise. But these are the cakes from the party. Nate and I made Claire's cake and the flower cake was a joint effort by me and the g-mas. We had tons of fun and they turned out pretty cute :)

More Birthday Pics

Claire's other present was this red wagon. She really likes to ride in it. She doesn't try and move at all. I thought she would try and climb out or crawl around but she just chills.

Happy Birthday

I can't believe a whole year has already passed! Where did the time go. We had a wonderful weekend celebrating Claire's 1st birthday. Both sets of grandparents made the trip for Claire's party. We had a few close friends and family over for lunch and cupcakes. She had a really wonderful day. Complete with Lasagna for lunch and flower cakes for dessert. Here are a few pictures from her party and the weekend.

In and Out

We have a monkey baby!!! Every time we turn around she is climbing into and on top of things... She was reaching for a toy on the other side of the basket when she ended up inside of it and thought, "Hey, this is kind of cool! All my toys are right here:)"

I really "lick" you

Since the dogs lick Claire all day, I guess she thinks that it is okay to lick them back. So, when they give her licks she starts to lick them back!!! It is hilarious but kind of gross. She sticks her tongue out like they do too. Guess we need to have more kids so she doesn't turn herself into a dog! I know this picture is out of focus but I had to snap it before my settings were right so I wouldn't miss the tongue!

Bubbles for Dessert

Claire's new thing is eatting bubbles in the tub. She bends over and sticks her face in the tub to try and eat them! It is so funny. She gets a mouthful of water every time and almost chokes. She will learn one day! The other ones are just bathtime fun!

There was a can of Gerber Stars on top of the end table and when she reached up to grab for them she knocked them in between the couch and end table. It looks like she wants to play hide and seek!

So funny. I had no idea she could even fit under there!

The Difference

Can you tell the difference when Daddy gave me a bath and when mommy gave me a bath. Daddy wanted me to have "crazy" hair. He is so silly. Mommy wants it pretty and combed so she can put bows in it!

Fun at the Park

It was 70 degrees today!!! We couldn't believe it and with news of a cold front tomorrow we decided it was a good day for the park. Claire got to ride the swing and slide for the first time. She thought it was pretty fun. Check out her new big girl shoes!!!

Christmas

We had a great time in Texas for X-mas. We went to H-town and R-Town and got to see almost everyone. If we didn't see you we sure missed you but we'll catch up next time. Hope everyone had a great holiday. I forgot to erase my memory card before x-mas so I don't have many pictures...If you have some, please send them to me :)

A Day Full Excitement...Snow and a Christmas Tree all for Claire

We decided to put up our tree last night so when Claire woke up this morning it was all aglow. She didn't care too much about the tree itself but thought the ornaments were pretty tasty. Of course when your daughter is this cute...a photo shoot is in order so I got out the dog treats and posed all the girls. It was hard and lots of saying STAY to all three of them but it turned out pretty good! Then when we looked out the window the snow was coming down!!! It IS begining to look a lot like x-mas. We got some of Claire in the snow too. How fun. She thought the snow was pretty cool, and kept trying to grab at it

My little Explorer

Here are 2 pictures of Claire exploring the world. I was typing an email one morning and hadn't put away these sodas and I look over and she climbed on top of them and was soooo proud of herself. She was just laughing and carrying on. It was pretty funny. The other one I took her outside to take a picture of her in her tights and she wouldn't even look at me because everything else was sooo interesting. She is so much fun.
