J Buddy

What has Jacob been up to these days? Well, that little one is everywhere and into everything!!! The way our house is set up, there isn't any place a baby gate can go to enclose him anywhere. Which means I am chasing him around most of the day. He has a very small attention span. So he will play with a toy for a second and get bored and want to move on to something else. Claire would sit with a toy forever. He is sleeping great at night again. And is still taking 2 naps a day. He nurses 4 times a day and eats solids 3 times a day. As you can see his "needs" take up most of the day! He has learned to pull up on things and I had a dream last night he was walking...uh oh. I am sooo not ready for that, but will welcome it with open arms :) He has 2 teeth on the bottom and 3 that just popped through on the top. Claire didn't get until she was a year old so this teething thing is new for me too! Enjoy some of the latest pics...

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful Easter on Sunday! We decorated eggs on Saturday and left them for the Easter Bunny at night, along with some carrots. Then the Easter Bunny came and hid the eggs and replaced them with prizes! Then we went to church and came home to discover 12/16 eggs eatten by two brown and white dogs...Shells and all. Atleast we were done with them! We had our neighbors, Matt and Joy over for dinner. Joy who is a vet assured us they would be fine.

Happy Birthday Claire

I can't believe our little baby is 3! We had a wonderful day complete with a trip to Toys r us to pick out a new tricycle, lunch at on the border (she loves it when they sing), opening presents at home, a birthday party with all her friends, cupcakes, and getting wet while helping daddy wash the car! She crashed when it was bedtime. We really had a fun day...

It counts in my book

Jacob is crawling...I think. He is very uncoordinated (a lot like his mom) but I think it counts. He has been doing this for a month now. I wouldn't say I am in trouble yet because he is still content to just move around and play with his toys. But when his eye catches something cool he has the determination to get to it. You can see it in his eyes when he has found the "motivation."

Meet La Leena, today is her Birthday

Claire has been super silly today! This morning she woke up with La Leena. Her cat formally known as Meeeee and Blue Kitty. She has lots of favorite animals and takes turns sleeping with them but this cat seems to be the one she always comes back to. Well today, she decided it was La Leena's birthday. All her animal friends came to her party and they each had to have a chair. She even made a cake for her with a bowl and a bunch of barrettes. See it in front of the kitty! We had a picnic and then sang happy birthday to her. She also came to Walmart with us and rode in Claire's car seat strapped to her body! No clue where she got this name from. But it has been an entertaining day.

Crazy Sleeper

Jacob is all over the place during the day and all over the place at night too! He usually scoots and scoots until he ends up in a corner and can't scoot anymore. Here he is "hanging out" in his crib!

Bowling

A few weeks ago we took Claire bowling. She lasted about 3 frames then sat and wouldn't bowl. We went on base, so thankfully it was quick and cheap! Jacob chilled in the stroller while Nate and I played and took turns wasting Claire's turn. Guess our dreams of having her 3rd birthday party at the bowling alley won't happen this year. Just kidding...

fingernails

claire saw that my toes were painted and thought they were very pretty! she asked if i would paint her toes. sure, so after i painted her toes she asked me if we could paint her fingernails. i told her no, little girls only get to have painted toes. while i was making dinner, she disappeared for a while. i called for her and asked her what she was doing and if she wanted to help me cook (which she never turns down). she answered nothing and no i knew she was up to no good. this is what i found. she got 8 out of 10 done but i thought she did pretty good!!!

Downtown

Saturday, we went downtown for lunch and museum fun. It is called the Children's Museum but it should be called "The Big Playhouse." There are all kinds of rooms for the kids to play in with different themes. The pictures are from the water room and the grocery shopping room. We go here a lot but I never can take pictures because I always have Jacob in my arms :) He slept in the stroller the whole time and Nate was with me to help! So much fun. We also went to this famous cupcake place! It was YUMMY :) Claire only ate the frosting. Beautiful day. We can't wait for the summer. We will probably go downtown a lot and to the Beach even more!!!

Thank you for being devoted blog followers. I guess you figured out how to access our blog now. Sorry we went this way but this world is a crazy place and our children are precious gifts not to be shared with the world :) Anyways hope you still think it is worth it to check in on us. Sorry for the lack of posts lately! These little ones are keeping me so busy...Claire isn't napping anymore and when Jacob naps I like to spend time with Claire :) Here are some recent pictures of the kids.
Claire put her animals on pillows, covered them with baby wipes, turned the lights out and told me to be quiet because they were sleeping.

Jacob in his big boy car seat! He is 7 months now and will be crawling any day. He scoots on his stomach and can spin in circles. I am happy to report he is sleeping through the night again after a 2 month hiatus.

He is eating all kinds of baby foods and cereals now and still nursing too. He likes his time in the highchair and insists on sitting straight up even when I recline the seat.

Jacob after a bath. He is starting to enjoy bath time now. He is so easy to get to smile. I love making him smile and laugh. A very ticklish little guy so it is so much fun!!!

I won't do this again

I thought it would be fun to put both kids in Claire's new swing. Well, not long after this picture was taken Jacob got stuck and I had to yell for Nate to come and help me get him out. He was screaming and Claire was saying, "Mommy, get him out!" Poor kids.
