4 yr checkup

Claire had her 4 yr checkup today. We had told her about how she would
be getting shots. She acted like she understood and was very good
throughout the checkup. But the look on her face when they gave her
the first two shots brought me to tears. Innocence shattered. But she
recovered quickly. Height 42 1/2 inches (95%), weight 40 pounds

Mr. Potato Heads

Claire and Jacob are so silly!! They are really starting to interact and love to play with each other. Claire loves having a brother to play with and is so sweet to help him too. Jacob cries when I take Claire to school and points and says Sis...Sis...Sis... Here they are being total goofballs with Mr. Potato Head glasses on! They would put them on just laugh and laugh! Too Cute! Love these kiddos.

Suicide Disney Trip

I guess when Nate was in college he went on these Suicide trips...They would decide last minute where they were going on then go! No planning, crazy spontaneity. Well, he came home last Friday and said we were going to take a suicide trip to Disney! So we did. We literally found a hotel while we were driving. It was a great trip! We got a lot of looks and comments about little Grant. He was in the sling most of the time. Claire lost her shoe in the Castle's Moat and Disney gave her a new pair of crocs!! And got her shoe back. How cool is that? Claire had a great time and remembered all the rides. She loved meeting the characters and wished she had her autograph book to have them sign it...Jacob liked the stuff he went on and was okay about meeting the characters. He was a little timid and didn't understand "give him a hug" he would walk up and put his hands up like he wanted them to pick him up. He took a nap both days in the stroller which was great because I could nurse Grant, Jacob could sleep, and Nate and Claire could ride something that Jacob couldn't. Grant loved getting "held" for two days all day. Made the last week interesting as he has wanted to be held all day. But he is better now. We stayed at the Marriott World Center and I wouldn't recommend it. It was a great hotel and a great price but we really liked staying on property better. We'll be sad when we are in DC and can't hop in the car and go see Mickey! It was well worth the stress/shock and awe when Nate gave me the news. Gotta love my hubby!

More Easter

More Easter Fun! The kids went on an Easter Egg Hunt that our church put on. It was a little chaotic with three kids...But we have pictures to prove that we were there. Claire loved hunting the eggs and Jacob just wanted to go play . He didn't really want to hunt at all. Big Sis gathered his allotted egg amount and then gave them to him to open. So sweet! We also dyed eggs. Jacob just watched. Claire and Nate had a great time and the eggs looked awesome. None were consumed by dogs this year :)

Road trip again!!

Who said having 3 kids was hard work? Nah. We decided to go to disney
last minute on Friday. Literally found a hotel in the car on the way.
I am having dejavu as Jacob sits here napping. I am sitting in the
same spot as last time while Nate and claire ride the buzz lightyear
ride. We wanted to come one last time before we move. Claire seriously
asks when we are going next every day. I had been telling her when she
turns five. After six months went by I tried to change it to six. Both
being a lie. It didn't work.
Disney has some amazing deals for military so we took advantage of
them!!

Easter

Happy Easter Everyone! We had a great weekend. We decorated eggs on Saturday, then left them for the Easter Bunny to hide with some carrots. And can you believe it, the Easter Bunny came and left us treats!!! Then we went to church and had some friends over for dinner and another egg hunt! We all slept good last night :) Kids had a great day. Here are some pictures. More later from my other camera.
